Sunday was a beautiful day here. So, after church we ate lunch, changed our clothes and headed to Pigeon Point park. We rode on these old looking animals. It was fun for about 30 seconds.
Mommy wanted to take a picture with me (Jake), but I didn't want to smile. So....
She kissed me to try to get me to laugh. It worked.
Noah skinned his arm on one of the play structures. He took a break on the swing to heal up.
This is not sunday. It was some day last week. Isn't she cute?
We think she can feel her two bottom teeth now because she always is gnawing on that bottom lip.
She started out on her back and this is how far she makes it to rolling over. So close!!
We love you dad! Wish you could be here to do all this stuff with us, but we are waiting patiently for you to come home. We can do it all again then.
Love, your kiddos

The De-Militarized Zone
All right boy's…these picture are kinda out of order, but here goes. Back when Dedo was a boy, your age, the people of Korea had a fight. They are still fighting to this day, that is why I am over here for so long of a time and why I was here a year ago…to keep them from killing each other. In the picture below, the white house is where the bad people sit and watch what is going on.
This guy is from the Republic of Korea, or what we call the ROK. or South Korea. he is on the good side. see how he stands with his fist's clenched…he is angry and likes to show that he is angry and ready for a fight by clenching his fist's like that. This is the bad guy. he is from the Peoples Democratic Party of Korea (the DPRK) or North Korea (nK). They are Communists…which means that they are bad people cause they force other people to do what they want them to do with violence.
For the past 60 years, these two people have been fighting a war. They never let their guard down, that is why the guy is standing with half of his body behind the building…that way he is harder to hit if they try to shoot him.
This is where they sit and talk about things when they decide to take a break from shooting at each other. The center of the table has a flag and the chairs on the right are for the nK's and the chairs on the left side are for the ROK.
This is me being serious with one of the south korean (good guys) guards. he didn't look at me or change his posture, just kept standing straight. We weren't allowed to talk to them either…I wanted to give him some gummy bears…cause he looked like he could use a snack.
I am in North Korea at the time of this picture.
This bridge used to take people from one side of the line that divides the country to the other…once you went over it, you had to stay on the other side.
Somebody made this statue of a bunch of kids trying to put the world back together after the war had torn apart their country/world. Very optimistic…
They also had a cool soccer ball statue inbetween one of the bathrooms…I tried kicking it but it was made out of steel…so it hurt my foot!
This is a bad picture, but that is nK. I imagine that a nKorean is taking a picture of me when I took that picture.
That is me with nK in the back-ground. It is only a couple of kilometers away. They have a huge flag that you can barely see just above my hand…but you have to zoom in to see it.
soooo, That is what I did today, on my saturday. You crazies are just waking up and probably watching cartoons or something interesting like that. Take good care of mom and Emma for me today and remember…no having fun while I am gone!!!
Love ya,
Dad

Our Saturday
On Saturday we went to the oatland Island Wildlife Preserve in Savannah. It was pretty cool, we wish you could have come with us because we know you would have liked it.
We started out visiting the alligators. Do you see him in there? We saw 4 in all (except for mom who only spotted 3)
Here Jacob is pointing out the cougars to Vance. He was having a hard time spotting it.
Your smiley boys.
We took this picture just for you. We know that Pelicans are your favorite. Although you would have liked him more if he were flying and diving in the water.
Emma taking care of some business of her own.
We took this picture for Noah. There are a whole bunch of turtles on the bottom branch of the tree out in the water. He couldn't see them so we took that picture and pointed out where to look on the camera.
Jacob studying the map. Where to next?
Noah staring off at who knows what?
This was the wolves "cage". There was alot of howling that we did to try and get their attention. It didn't really work.
Now she's all smiles!
What good is a tree if you can't climb it?
Ditto
Right before we jumped out.
The only other use for a tree....swinging from its branches.
We missed you and wished you could have been with us. Maybe we can go again when you get home! We love you!

Seoul, Republic of Korea
boy's, here is the situation…I live in a tent. I looks like this inside.
My bed is the fourth one on the left hand side. Normally it is all dark inside and really hot. This is where the tent city is set up, we live in a city made of tents...
I went to the capitol of South Korea (the republic of korea "the ROK"). It is called Seoul. It is a HUGE city. We went to the highest point and looked around, saw some monuments like this one.
We had a great view of the city and the windows had lots of data on them, even though they were really dirty.
The middle of this picture is the castle where the King used to live.
there is me as "the tourist". Wish you kids could have been there and gone sight-seeing with me. we road the train for at least 4 hours today and it got really crowded…but it was fun to get out.
they had a gym set up for us while we were hiking…I couldn't resist and had to knock out a quick set of the bench-press.
Can you imagine living there? The kids who live in that apartment complex don't have any back-yard and the place is dirty/smelly and yucky looking.
but, some of the buildings do look kinda nice. They put a lot of money into the buildings where they work, but not where they sleep…hmmm…interesting concept.
Another crazy building from the Korean lands. I love and miss you turkeys! Put some of your pictures on the blog for me today…I would love to see some of you boy's and Emma if you have the time. Remember to obey your mother and remember that love you cause you are my Crazies!

Monkey Island, but no Monkeys!
Boy's and Emma: This weekend I went to Miyajimaguchi (I call it Monkey Island cause they do have monkey living wild on the island) and we went hiking. I know, how boring…to go hiking all over again. Like there is nothing else to do in this crazy land but hike…
I was sick while we were hiking, had a fever and kept getting hot/cold flashes and my bones ached…but I made it all the way up and back without taking the cable car. It was fun time, but I wish I wasn't feeling bad. It was also really cloudy while we were out there so we didn't get as good of a view that I was hoping to get. Oh well, maybe next time. One more week then it's off to South Korea for a couple of weeks…gotta spend my time wisely!
Boys, take good care of Mom and Emma, obey your Mother!
I love you crazies…enjoy your week!
