The Zoo

 Dad,
Today we took a trip to the zoo in Columbia. It was so much fun! We walked in and headed straight for the flamingos. They are pretty, but they sure are stinky!
We took this picture of the penguins just for you. We know that you really like them so we stayed and watched them play and swim for awhile.
You can't tell, but we are sitting on a little dinosaur here.
 Every tree is climbable, right?!
Even bamboo - it's really easy to shimmy up!
We got to feed the Lorakeets. They sure liked the food we had. They would jump right onto our arms (and once they jumped on Sarahs head!) just to get some food.
Jacob was very brave, but didn't necessarily love having the bird on him.
Even mommy fed them. She only got scared when one flew at her and started fighting the other one for food.
Noah got to feed the giraffes! He said that their tongue tickled his hand.
Don't worry, we would never actually sit on a real lion.
Or pull on a real lions ear
This was towards the end of our day. It had rained for a little bit so we were kind of wet. But we didn't mind.
They had some pretty gardens there and in the middle of one garden was this super huge chair. We wonder how big the person is who gets to sit here?!
This was in the gift shop right before we left. We begged to go in and mommy said we could only if we did not ask to buy anything. We were very good and didn't ask. Instead Noah hugged the $200 giraffe and we left him there.

We hope you enjoyed our pictures from the zoo. We sure do miss you and wish you could have come with us. We love you!
